Christos Zafeirakis is the fourth generation of wine producers in his family, following a 100 years old family tradition. The vineyards are located in the area of Tyrnavos, in Central Greece.
Christos completed his studies in enology in Athens and Milan in 2004 and gained valuable experience from the vineyards of Piemonte, Tuscany and and Alto Adige, before returning to Greece.
He practices organic viticulture, using local grape varieties some of which he has personally reintroduced after they have been forgotten for decades. These varieties, notably Limnionas, proved very successful, in combination with the exceptional soils of the vineyard which include clay and flint stone.
Today, Christos produces wines with a unique combination of finesse and strong character, which reflect an equally unique terroir.
